I’m Argentinian, but speak english and undestrand just a bit of german.
What I think is that the lyrics is trying to describe some kind of inexplainable feeling of darkness and lonelyness. Some felling of never reaching what sould be done. We are not angels (and don’t wan’t to be)…it’s impossible to reach perfection.

@Joe, you are correct. There is an english version on the album and this translation is WAY off from that.

ya, James gotta good poem. The video changes your mind because of the almost naked lady feeding booze to a man who is in great desire of her flesh. Simply put, do you wonder why if there are angels, why do they ride motor cycles and say that they are from hell, and get away with it….or do they? do you wonder why, if there is no pizza in africa the reason for starvation is that no one knows how to cook it? .. . . . .or are there angels preventing this - the ones that have fallen from the sky
